A wide knowledge of geophysical sciences and technologies and their application in offshore survey in the oil and gas and renewables sectors.

Francis Buckley

Principal Geoscientist

Over 35 years’ experience as a geoscientist in the offshore energy sector. A specialist in marine engineering geoscientific data interpretation, has developed advanced interpretation methods for geohazard and engineering purposes, using seismic attribute analysis, seismic inversion, AVO and petro-physical techniques. Presented technical work at conferences and workshops, has authored several peer reviewed academic papers and has collaborated on several joint academic/industry projects with the Universities of Manchester and Aberdeen.

Expert in the specification & application of advanced laboratory testing methods for soil-structure interaction, soil mass behaviour and geohazard risk. Highly competent in the application of geotechnical analysis for offshore foundation design. Highly competent and focused project manager.
